• South Florida wins the inflation race. Miami/Ft. Lauderale metropolitan area topped all other cities, with a 4.9 percent annual inflation rate through April. The national rate was 3.9 percent.
  
• From USA Today, nearly one in six homes in the U.S.A. has only wireless phones - no land lines. We would like to join these folks and get rid of our own land line, but we have kept it due to our alarm system.
  
• Gas is expensive and you need to figure out how to save money on gas. But, don't waste your time with these gas-savings myths.
