Round Numbers
After paying the mortgage this month, our primary mortgage debt is now below $230,000. Does anyone else get excited about getting below (or above) certain markers?

you are not alone, I sometimes will go online and pay a little extra principal to get it to round down under the next thousand if I am close.
Yes ... every $10K is a thrill whether it's paying off debt or accumulating savings. Getting past that $10K interval is something I genuinely look forward to each time it comes around.
Totally! I think of 10k increments as the little tick marks and 50k increments as the bigger tick marks. Like the above poster, I always try to find a way to stretch whenever my next payment is close to a milestone. Congrats on your continued progress!

My mortgage just dipped below $130K; I am now considering writing a big check to pay it off - not sure yet what I will do.
